Teaching

For many Peruvians, learning a second language is a major asset. The knowledge of another language provides Peruvians with an opportunity to access higher paying jobs and increase their total revenue. Ultimately, this skill will help them support their family.

Private school children receive English language courses at an early age. Unfortunately, this is not the case for public schools. The public school system lacks trained professionals and adequate resources. In order to counter this problem, several educational centers have been established. The goal is to offer complementary education to children who are disadvantaged by the system. As a volunteer with this project, you will teach directly in the educational centers. Volunteers are active participants in improving the services offered to students.

Depending on your objectives and skills, volunteers can support professors in the classroom, organize workshops, teach certain subjects in Spanish or teach English. In summary, this is a unique way to get involved and discover the wonderful country of Peru.
