| Work in a Day Care Centre
|
The day care center is located in San Sebastian, which is a suburb of the charming town, Cuzco. The center was established in 2002 and is frequented by 40 to 50 youth per day. Normally these youth would spend their time after school loitering in the streets. The goal of the center is to provide an alternative for these youth. In addition, these children often come from broken homes. The center offers the opportunity for youth to take part in various workshops including sewing classes, woodworking and music. Moreover, the youth receive assistance with their homework. The center is a safe environment for the youth to play games, make handicrafts and practice sports. The Day Care Center welcomes volunteers to participate in all levels of project activities.

Registration fee : $555 CAD + tax
Participation fee : $105 USD per week ($107
CAD) ***
Registration deadline: 3 months before the departure
date.
