Do you want to travel but traditional tourism doesn't attract you? Would you prefer to experience cultural immersion and discover another country, its people and its customs? Would you like to be involved as a volunteer, working within a community, getting to know its inhabitants, and living with them - all the while discovering a new way of life and another reality? If, however, traveling alone in Guatemala, or Peru may seem too daunting for your first experience abroad, the Discovery Program may be just what you're looking for!

Are you ready to dive into a culture that is totally different from your own for a period of 3 to 4 weeks? With our "Discovery" group program, you will have the chance to travel in a unique way: participate in a construction project in a village in Guatemala, working in agriculture in the rural surroundings of Copan in Honduras, take Spanish lessons in Peru, or help the staff of an orphanage in the Philippines ...

Brief overview of the Discovery Program:
  • Destinations offered : Guatemala, Honduras, Peru and the Philippines;
  • Number of participants : Between 7 and 14 people per group;
  • Age limit: 16 years and over;
  • Dates: Programs take place during the winter, the summer and the autumn (program dates are available if you click on the links below);
  • Length of stay: 4 weeks during the summer and the autumn, and 3 weeks during the winter;
  • Greeting upon arrival, accommodation, food and supervision are arranged for you and are included in the price;
  • All groups are accompanied by an experienced Canadian group facilitator;
  • This program is open to youth of all nationalities;
  • There is no selection process: first-come, first serve!;
  • Costs: vary depending on the destination (see below);
  • All interested candidates must include a letter of intention and a resume with their registration.

Honduras, Peru and Philippines: Offered in summer only
