Activities:
  • Several community organizations in Copan need volunteers. For an even more comprehensive learning experience, you could work in a school, a kindergarden, a medical clinic, a cooperative farm, etc.
  • The school organizes weekly outings, including hikes in the mountains, rides to Santa Barbara Falls, visits to ruins and museums, horseback rides and visits to indigenous villages.
  • Copan is an ideal place to learn Spanish and to discover another culture. The village has a rich past with over 2000 years of history
Food:
  • The food is of good quality, however there is less variety than you will find in Canada.

  • If required, vegetarian menus can be prepared.

Cost: Includes registration fee and pre-departure orientation, lodging, food (7 days/week), and Spanish courses (20 hours of lessons per week) and study materials . Taxes are included and all fees must be paid before the daparture date. Transportation from the airport to the school and your host family can be organized for $35 USD.
