| DISCOVERY GROUP PROGRAM IN HONDURAS |

CULTURAL IMMERSION AND VOLUNTEER WORK
HorizonCosmopolite offers you the opportunity to spend four weeks in the small colonial city of Copán Ruinas, in the
heart of an agricultural valley in Honduras. A warm and welcoming community, exciting activities, and volunteer work
alongside local people will make you appreciate your stay in this unique place. You will live in a Honduran host family and
you will receive forty hours of private Spanish courses (one teacher per two students). You will also participate in multiple
volunteer activities, and will take part in several cultural activities and sporting events.

What's included:
- 40 hours of private Spanish lessons (one teacher per two students);
- Volunteer work in community organizations such as schools, daycares, community centers, etc.;
- Participation in an agriculture project in rural areas surrounding Copán;
- Accommodation with a host family;
- Three meals a day, seven days a week;
- All Transportation during the stay (for activities organized within the program);
- Cultural activities: A guided tour of Copán, horseback riding, visiting a community outside of Copàn,; visiting hot springs, exploring natural caves, visiting Mayan ruins, and, many others;
- The services of a Canadian guide for the duration of the stay;
- Supervision from our Honduran partner for the length of the stay;
- Pre-departure orientation weekend offered by HorizonCosmopolite;
- Unlimited support from the HorizonCosmopolite team. Before, during and after the trip.

What's not included:
- Plain Ticket (between $900 and $1000 CAD)
- Insurance (medical $60, complete $140 CAD)
- Passport ($87 CAD)
- Vaccinations (between $100 and $300 CAD)
- Exit Tax ($35 USD)
- Personal expenses / souvenirs
- Weekend trips (optional)

Registration procedure:
Participation fees for one of the Discovery Programs can be paid in two separate installments:
1st payment : $500 CAD + tax, before the registration deadline.
2nd payment : Remaining balance (depending on the destination), 45 days prior to departure.
*** HorizonCosmopolite may cancel a program if there are less than 7 people registered in one group. In such a case, all previously submitted payments will be refunded. |
